The TEC (Walloon bus company) entrusted us with the manufacture of a custom-made bus maintenance platform following a European tender.
The objective is to allow for the safe maintenance of the batteries installed on the roof.
The platform is mobile and its height is adjustable.
The minimum height was a crucial factor, as the platform also had to be able to be moved outside and pass through the gate.
The maximum tolerance was 50 mm!
The ladder is mounted on casters, with the steps remaining horizontal at all times.
At the top, a deployable safety cage provides fall protection, allowing work to be carried out without a harness or lifeline.
A retractable floor under the platform ensures there is no gap between it and the bus wall.
Rubber plugs ensure a secure, damage-free installation.
