In the first phase, three folding tracking gangways were installed at liquid loading station number 3.
The tracking gangways were moved along a rail on the platform, allowing them to be positioned above the tanker truck's manhole. The gangways are lowered, the door opens, and the operator can safely enter the tanker.
Each tracking gangway was initially 7 meters long, allowing the descending gangway to be positioned above two to three manholes.
In a second phase, the tracking gangway was extended to 13 meters in all three positions, giving each gangway access to all manholes along the entire length of the tanker.
The client was so satisfied with the installation and the concept that it was decided to subsequently install four additional monitoring walkways on the south side of liquid loading station number 4.
All the protective cages here are also equipped with a retractable handrail, which allows the cage depth to be reduced to prevent falls onto narrower tankers.
